Products Information

Are the beyblades original?

Yes. We usually try to only stock original products.

In some cases, we might make an exception. However, It will be mentioned above add to cart button and main description in bold letters. We know how important the authenticity of the products can be for collectors. We try our best to make sure you know what you’re buying

Which brand are they from

  • Takara Tomy (in most cases we primarily import from Japan)
  • Hasbro
  • Sonokong
  • Young Toys

As well as distributors such as Funskool, NewBoy, etc

Are they new or used?

As of April 2024. We primarily import used or second-hand products. We will be experimenting with importing new products this year. However, unfortunately, we can’t guarantee that we will be able to import new products regularly anytime soon. This is mainly because of import regulations in India which require several certifications that are not possible to acquire at our current scale. We will continue to work towards making this possible.

Will launcher, and stadium with the Beyblade?

No, they are sold separately. This is because as a second-hand product. We don’t always get the launcher, accessories, or in some cases even all of the parts. So we have to source them separately. If we include them, with the beys we will have to increase the cost significantly. This is the only way to keep Beyblade prices accessible for everyone and still be profitable for us

What is the condition of the product?

It will be exactly as shown in the images. If there is any issues that can’t be captured on camera for any reason. It will be mentioned above add to cart button

What are the exceptions you mentioned earlier?

In addition to being to being safe and high quality. They also need to pass one of 2 criteria below

  • They are necessary but are very hard to find or are expensive due to being out of production for decades
    • Example: BB-10 Repros, Launchers, 3D Printed Items etc
  • They are very unique and add value to the products
    • Dual Launcher Grip, Modification, or Custom Parts

Do you sell Flame Brand or Rapidity?

No, we avoid fake beyblades or duplicates of any ongoing series for 2 reasons

  • They endanger the future of that product line as the original manufacturer wouldn’t have any reason to continue investment in it if it doesn’t make enough sales.
  • Fake beyblades often contain lead in the allow of their metal as well as other quality control issues like sharp edges which can cause harm to its user.

Orders and Payment

How do I order?

Our website is like any other e-commerce website like Amazon or Flipkart for example. Follow the steps below to order

  • Step 1: Pick a product to buy either by browsing your favorite category or using the search function
  • Step 2: Click on the product and add it to your cart after reading the description and inspecting its condition from the images.
    • Bonus: Some products may have multiple pieces in different conditions and prices. Pick one that suits you best!
  • Step 3: Once you have selected the things you want to buy. Click on the cart button on the top right side of the screen and press checkout
  • Step 4: Enter your address and make the payment using your preferred payment method.
  • Step 5: That’s all! We will get it ready and ship it by the next day

If you create an account with us. All of your details will be saved securely so you can place an order effortlessly next time

Can you order for me?

Yes. Just send us the list of products you want to buy through our email, WhatsApp, or any of our social media DM. We will handle the rest

Note: During times of rush we may or may not be able to attend you in time. To avoid missing out on your favorite product. It is recommended to go for an online order instead.

Do you offer Cash on Delivery?

As of May 2024. We have temporarily disabled Cash on Delivery due to some technical issues. If you can only pay via Cash. We can take cash deposit to SBI or Axis Bank account through ATM (CDM Machine) or the nearest bank branch

Shipping, Delivery and Packing

When will I receive my order?

Usually within 3-4 Days. In some rare cases, delivery time can take up to 5-7 days. Rest assured, if some issue arises we are here to help

Do you deliver to India?

Yes! In fact, we are located in Mumbai, MH, India!

What courier do you use?

We primarily use Bluedart for most of our shipments. However, in case it’s unavailable. We would use one of following

  • DTDC
  • India Post
  • TheProfessional Courier

Can you ship by a specific date?

If it is a later date (like after 10 days). We can try to manage something. But unfortunately, we can’t promise that we will be able to deliver earlier than our usual time of delivery. We do have some ways, but they would cost more. Contact us for more information

I will be out of time on the day of delivery. Can you ask the courier to hold the parcel until I return?

Yes, we can. However, we won’t be able to guarantee how long they will be able to hold your order. If you think you may be unavailable for a while. You can contact us and ask to hold your parcel or ship it at a later date

Do you have a store in my city?

Unfortunately, no. We are still a small business in its early stages. As of April 2024, we don’t have any physical store or outlet and we operate as an online-only shop.

We will try our best to continue to expand further. We wouldn’t be here without all of you. With your support, we can continue to reach new heights in the future

I live in Mumbai. Can I pick up my order from your place?

Yes. Reach us out on our email, WhatsApp, or any of our social media.

Do you ship Internationally?

Unfortunately, as of April 2024. No, we only ship in India. We still need to acquire the necessary documents to facilitate problem-free shipping. We will be working on making worldwide shipping available in the future.

Cancellation, Return, & Refund

Can you cancel my order?

Yes, as long as you let us know before your order gets picked up by the courier. We can cancel it, free of cost, and refund the full amount you had paid

What if my order has already been picked up?

We can still cancel your order. However, a cancellation fee equal to the courier charges will be deducted from your refund amount

If I receive my order damaged or with the wrong items. Can I get a refund

In that case, we will offer you the option to either return it with a full refund or keep it with a partial refund (if the items received are lower in value compared to your original order)

What if my order is lost during transit or is delivered to the wrong place?

This is very unlikely as our courier partner usually scans the parcel at every stage and verify the OTP before delivery. However, if in the unfortunate case that were to happen. We will refund you the full amount including the shipping

I no longer need the items from my order. Can I return them?

We usually don’t take return in this case. However, as long as

  • You have a valid reason
  • All items are completely unused and are in exactly same condtion as we had sent in
  • You agree to having return fees deducted from your refund amount.

When will I get my refund?

We will refund you within 24-48 hours of receiving returned package (as soon as we can). If it is a case of partial refund. You will recieve it immediately if not within 24-48 hours of confirmation

I don’t like the product. Can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, no. Please understand we are only a reseller. We can only garentee you would receive the product as described, and shown in the pictures without any additional issues. If you have any issues which are inherent to the product. Please reach out to the respective manufacturer

Availability

When will you add new products/restock?

We usually try to restock either a month after we last restock or when we have very few products left in our inventory.

I can’t find a product I’m looking for. Can you get it for me?

You can let us know which product you’re looking for! We will try our best to get it by the next stock-up. Since these are used products. Availability isn’t garenteed, hence we unfortunately we can’t garentee if it will be restocked

Can you order one for right now?

Unfortunately, as much as we would like to. It’s very expensive to order individual products due to shipping costs from Japan (can cost several times more than a lot) and other countries we import from. We can, however, try to acquire it during the next restock!

What will be in the next restock?

Well, that depends! First of all, it depends on the demand. If there are many buyers and if Beyblade Burst is trending. We would buy more of those. Secondly, since we buy mostly pre-owned items. We don’t know what we might find next. We try to get the best deal for the best items we can find based on the current market price

I have a lot of old beyblades which I don’t use. Can I sell them?

Yes! Send us a DM. We can discuss it. If we are able to sell them around our usual price range with some profit margin. We would surely buy them

What is World Hobby Shop?

World Hobby Shop is an online store that sells toys, hobbies, and collectible products from around the world. We currently specialize in products from Beyblade Franchise but we will continue to expand our reach to various other toyline and hobbies in the future.

Where are you located?

We are based in Mumbai, India

Do you have a physical store in Mumbai, India?

As of Nov 2023, we operate online only. However, if you live in Mumbai, the surrounding region, or are willing to travel to Mumbai. You can pick up your order by meeting us at a safe, accessible location. You can contact us to discuss about it. We will not charge any shipping fees for orders which are picked up by the customer

How do I know if you’re not a scammer?

Well! There are a few reasons to believe us:

  • We have many 5-star reviews on Google (with many more to come, including yours :))
  • We are an Officially Registered Business. Here is our GST Number – 27GHJPB3029L1Z7
  • We have many reactions captured from our buyers after receiving them on our Instagram

While this isn’t necessarily a reason. We believe there is much more for us to gain by earning the trust of our buyers through our honesty and by providing quality service than we would’ve had if we were to scam some people for a few thousand rupees. Not even just from a morality standpoint. You can never scam a person twice. But a happy customer will return many times, bringing more along with them.

Are you affiliated with WBO?

In spite of the similar-sounding name. No, we are not affiliated with the WBO. The name of our shop came into being when we were looking for a name that would allow you to easily know what we sell. Toys, Hobbies, and Collectibles from around the world.

How did it all begin?

Back in 2015, the owner of World Hobby Shop returned to his favorite game of Beyblade after many years of hiatus after learning about leaks of the Burst series. Hoping to fulfill his childhood dream of completing his Beyblade collection. Unfortunately, he was quick to realize this wasn’t something he could achieve soon with his limited budget. Unwilling to give up, he learned how to import directly from Japan. He decided to buy used collections and lots as it seemed the most price/time-efficient way to complete his collection. However, it would also result in many extra/doubles. Fortunately, he was able to sell them off thanks to an amazing community of bladers in India. By doing so, he was able to reuse the profit to fund more purchases, eventually completing his collection. A process he really enjoyed and reminded him of his childhood dream of finding a Beyblade Shop. Which, unfortunately, didn’t exist. “Why wait for someone else to do this?” and he decided to make his own website someday. Fast-forward to 2022, that happened!
