This Auction Policy (“Policy”) governs participation in all auctions conducted by World Hobby Shop (“we,” “our,” “us”). By registering for and/or placing a bid in any auction, the participant (“you,” “your,” “bidder”) acknowledges and agrees to be bound by this policy, in addition to our Terms & Conditions and other applicable policies.
Eligibility
- Auctions are open only to registered users with a valid World Hobby Shop account.
- By participating, you confirm that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age or have obtained verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian.
Auction Format
- Each auction listing shall specify the starting price, bid increments, auction duration, and product details.
- Auctions are conducted exclusively online through our website.
- At the conclusion of an auction, the highest valid bid shall constitute the winning bid.
Bidding Rules
- All bids are final, binding, and irrevocable once submitted.
- Bidders may increase, but not withdraw or reduce, their bids prior to auction close.
- Depending on the auction type, automated or proxy bidding features may be available.
- Any attempt to manipulate bidding, including but not limited to shill bidding, fraudulent accounts, or coordinated bidding practices, is strictly prohibited and may result in suspension or termination of account privileges.
Payments
- The winning bidder shall complete payment in full within forty-eight (48) hours of receiving notice of the winning bid.
- Accepted payment methods are those specified in our Payment Policy.
- Failure to remit payment within the prescribed period may result in cancellation of the order, forfeiture of the item, and suspension of auction privileges.
Shipping and Delivery
- Shipping of auction items is subject to our Shipping Policy.
- No item shall be shipped until full payment has been received and confirmed.
Product Condition
- Auction items may include new, used, or collectible products.
- The condition of each item shall be disclosed to the extent reasonably possible within the auction listing.
- Bidders acknowledge and accept that used and collectible products may exhibit wear, age, or other imperfections.
Cancellations and Refunds
- Auction sales are final. Cancellation requests shall not be entertained once an auction has concluded.
- Refunds shall be processed only in cases where the item is materially different from its description or arrives damaged, subject to our Return & Refund Policy.
Disclaimers
8.1 World Hobby Shop shall not be liable for technical issues, connectivity problems, or other system errors that may affect the ability to place or process bids.
8.2 Auction close times are final. Bids received after the designated closing time shall not be considered.
8.3 We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to cancel, postpone, or modify any auction, or to disqualify any bidder who violates this policy or engages in conduct detrimental to the fairness of the auction.
Governing Law
This policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
